This course is a continuation of the 4-week introduction to wheel-throwing course, and is also suitable for people who have had beginners’ wheel-throwing course elsewhere. In this 6-week course, students will continue to improve on throwing bigger cylinders and bowls in the 1st week. In the subsequent weeks, they will also be introduced to making pieces with handles, attachments and shaped spouts at the rim – such as pitchers, milk jugs, mugs, and pots. In the 5th week, students will learn how to glaze and decorate their pieces. All works will be fired after the 6th class, and can be collected one month after.

The cost of this course includes clay, use of wheel and equipment, materials for decorating and glazing, and firing. This course will take in a maximum of 7 students to provide maximum guidance. Sign-ups will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

*Students have to be at least 16-years old, otherwise we remain the right to forfeit their participation

Step-by-step guidance will be given to guide students to throw cylindrical shapes like bowls and teacups, turning/trimming the bases of students’ pieces, and glazing techniques. After 4 weeks, students will have their own glazed bowls and teacups fired and may be collected anytime after the 4th week. This course is ideal for beginners.

The cost of this course includes clay, use of wheel and tools, materials for decorating and glazing, and firing. Basic tools (for you to keep!) will be under separate costs. This course will take in a maximum of 7 students to provide maximum guidance. Sign-ups will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

8-week Intermediate Pottery Wheel-throwing course

This course is for those who have done at least 2 beginners extension classes. In this 8-week course, students will introduced to heavier clay weights to improve on throwing bigger cylinders and bowls in the 1st week. In the subsequent weeks, they will also be introduced to making pieces in sets, bottle forms, vases and how to trim narrow-neck bottles. In the 7th and 8th session, Students will learn how to glaze and decorate their pieces. All works will be fired after the 8th class, and can be collected one month after.

The cost of this course includes clay, use of wheel and equipment, materials for decorating and glazing, and firing. This course will take in a maximum of 8 students to provide maximum guidance. Sign-ups will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

*Students have to have beginners experiences and be at least 16-years old, otherwise we remain the right to forfeit their participation
*Strictly no refunds/exchanges once sign-ups have been processed
*Students have to take 2 extension classes to meet the criteria for Intermediate courses
